This page lists some of Wallowa County's events for your information and planning purposes.  Some events listed provide links to web sites which further describe the event or the activity. If you need further information about any event or activity please feel free to call us at any time. For more complete information on Wallowa County 2010 Events the following links are a great resource: Wallowa County Chamber of Commerce and Joseph Chamber of Commerce. Also, be sure to pick up a copy of the Wallowa County Visitor's Guide when you get in to town. You can find it at the Wallowa County Chamber Office as you are entering Enterprise, and also at the Joseph Chamber of Commerce Office in Joseph. It is a wealth of information!

Courthouse Concert Series and Farmer's Market

June - August
On Thursday nights you can buy fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables and listen to music at the same time! The concert series features local and regional musicians who play a variety of musical genre, while local gardeners and farmers display their homegrown produce. Thursday evenings on the Courthouse lawn in Enterprise.

Wallowa Valley Festival of Arts (28th Annual)
June 4 - 6
Celebrate the arts in Joseph Oregon, known for the galleries and bronze sculptures that line Main Street. Set beneath the majestic peaks of the Eagle Cap Wilderness, the 28th Annual Wallowa Valley Festival of Arts, an exhibit of art in most media from around the northwest.

June 11-12
More than 300 cars (Rods, Customs, Classics) on main street Joseph. Events include a party and dance, scavenger hunt, and more! Pre registration required.

June 18-19
Cowboys from 8 western states and Canada compete for over $21,000 in prize money. Forty-eight Bull Riders and 48 Wild Ranch Saddle Bronc Riders make for 2 performances of action packed excitement. Saturday features the young mutton-busters. Tickets at the Gate!

Mountain High Championship of Cowboy Mounted Shooting

June 20
Stick around after the Mountain High Broncs & Bulls event to witness an exciting spectator event at the Wallowa County Fairgrounds in Enterprise. More than 60 entrants are expected for the first annual Mountain High Championship of Cowboy Mounted Shooting event. As many as 20 of the Worlds Top Shooters are expected to attend, as well as the reigning World Champion! Don't worry though, they'll be shootin' blanks!

-Independence Weekend Celebration

July 4
Fireworks over the lake! The jewel of the Wallowa Mountains, Wallowa Lake, makes a perfect setting
to view this classic Independence Day event.

July 16, 17, 18
The 20th Anniversary of the Nez Perce home coming and traditional Powwow cultural celebration. The event features traditional Native American dancing, drumming, and religious ceremonies, followed by a Friendship Feast at the Wallowa Band Nez Perce Trail Interpretive Center.

Chief Joseph Days

July 21, 22, 23, 24, 25
Five days of PRCA-sanctioned rodeos which draw some of the top rodeo contenders and world-class bucking stock. The event also includes an Indian encampment, dance competition, and a carnival which turn Joseph into one big celebration!

August 20, 21, 22
Bikes of all descriptions will line the main street in Joseph for a Show and Shine event that is free to the public. Biker Games, Favorite Bike Contest, Live Music & Dance, All Bikers & All Makes of Bikes.
September 10, 11, 12
One of the top mule events in the United States. Features a Mule Show & Sale, Parade, Mule & Horse Sale, Exhibitors, Quilt Show, Cowboy Poetry, Dutch Oven Cook-Off, Events for every age and skill level.
