Wallowa County is located in the Northeast corner of Oregon and offers some of the most beautiful country in the United States. In fact the area is known as the "Little Switzerland of America". The county offers something to do for everyone of any age. Nearby Hells Canyon National Recreation Area offers some of the most spectacular overlooks of the deepest gorge in North America. The area offers
year-round recreational activities such as boating, water skiing, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, hiking, biking, and just enjoying the views. The area teems with wildlife and there are many opportunities to see wildlife in natural settings. Wallowa Mountain Quilt Guild Show will feature over 150 quilts. The show is judged by popular vote, and quilt entries from all locations and of all types are encouraged. The featured quilter for the 2008 show will be announced. The show also features a vendor’s mall and dessert concessions. |
